Post-cutoff is not same-day settle
Post-cutoff txns ÷ batch txns make miss %. Next-day $ = post-cutoff × $ per txn. Type all three.
Pair: Batch cutoff miss on Payments. Fails: same-day ACH fail. Prenote: ACH prenote lag.
What you type
Post-cutoff — transactions submitted after the same-day batch cutoff.
Batch txns — total transactions in that batch window.
$ / txn — average dollars on the post-cutoff set (typed).
Miss % = post-cutoff ÷ batch × 100. Next-day $ = post-cutoff × $ / txn. Move submission earlier when miss % is fat — do not invent a miss chip.
What not to do
Do not invent miss %. Do not mix ACH returns into cutoff misses. Do not treat prenote holds as post-cutoff. Do not average every MID when one owns the hole.
