Pause, skip, and cancel are three MIT outcomes. Mixing the words in CS is how you keep billing people who think they stopped — then eat cancelled-recurring chargebacks. Price a discount save on cancel-save EV. This page is the fork before any offer math.

The three outcomes

Pause. No MIT until resume (date or shopper action). Token stays; bills stop.

Skip. Jump the next cycle only; schedule resumes after.

Cancel. Stop MIT; kill or archive the token per your rules. Refund unused cycles if policy says so.

What not to do

Do not label a status “paused” while rebills continue. Do not invent a save-rate chip for pause offers. Do not offer pause on fraud or dead MIT. Do not skip the reason gate.

Only if MIT actually stops. A “pause” that still bills is a cancel claim waiting to happen.
Is skip the same as pause?
No. Skip jumps one cycle then resumes. Pause holds until a resume date or action.
Should every cancel get a pause offer first?
