Fullstack dock units waiting bins is not ShipBob unit-hours

How to run thisStock / inventory3 steps
CalculatorFullstack inbound putaway lag · Calculator lives in the articleOpen

On one Fullstack dock cut, inbound units can finish receive and still wait for a sellable bin. Stuck units equal those inbound units. Unit-hours equal lag hours times those units.

Pair: Inbound putaway lag on Stock. ShipBob twin: inbound putaway lag. Outbound twin: late-ship share.

What you type

Lag hours — hours from Fullstack dock receive-complete until the unit hits a pickable bin.

Inbound units — Fullstack units that finished receive and still sit off bins in the cut.

Stuck units = inbound units. Unit-hours = lag hours × inbound units. When unit-hours climb, add putaway labor on that Fullstack site before you buy more inbound. Never invent a stuck chip.

What not to do

Skip inventing stuck units. Skip dumping a ShipBob unit-hour export or a ShipMonk hours-per-receipt file into Fullstack boxes. Skip treating orders that already left the building, or pick-to-ship hours, as dock putaway lag. Skip blending sites when one Fullstack building owns the dock pile.

Related: Stock, ShipBob inbound putaway, late-ship share, pick-to-ship.

Procedure

  1. Type putaway lag hours and inbound units.
  2. Read stuck units and unit-hours.
  3. Staff putaway when unit-hours are material.

Failure modes

  • Inventing stuck units.
  • Dumping a ShipBob unit-hour or ShipMonk hours-per-receipt file into Fullstack fields.
  • Treating dock-late exits or pick-to-ship hours as putaway lag.

Worked example

None on this page yet. When one lands it will be a real case: what broke, the number, and what changed. Not a composite.
