Fullstack bay lag is not ShipBob dock lag

How to run thisStock / inventory3 steps
CalculatorFullstack pick-to-ship lag · Calculator lives in the articleOpen

Subtract pick hour from ship hour for one Fullstack fulfill cut. That difference is FS bay-lag hours.

Pair: Pick-to-ship lag on Stock. ShipBob twin: dock lag. Ship twin: on-time miss.

What you type

Pick hour — Hour index when the Fullstack cohort was picked (fulfill-cut clock).

Ship hour — Hour index when those orders shipped.

Orders — Orders in that same Fullstack pick-to-ship cohort.

FS bay-lag hours = ship hour − pick hour. Fat FS bay-lag hours usually means pack / carrier cut — chase that path; never invent an FS bay-lag chip.

What not to do

Skip inventing FS bay-lag hours. Skip dumping a ShipBob dock-lag or ShipMonk pick-to-ship file into Fullstack fields. Skip folding backorder or on-time ship miss into bay hours. Skip averaging every warehouse when one bay owns the stall.

Related: Stock, ShipBob dock lag, on-time miss, backorder.

Procedure

  1. Type pick hour, ship hour, and orders.
  2. Read FS bay-lag hours.
  3. Chase pack / carrier cut when FS bay-lag hours are material.

Failure modes

  • Inventing FS bay-lag hours.
  • Dumping a ShipBob or ShipMonk pick-to-ship file into Fullstack fields.
  • Folding Fullstack backorder or on-time ship miss into bay lag.

Worked example

None on this page yet. When one lands it will be a real case: what broke, the number, and what changed. Not a composite.

What FS bay-lag hours should I invent?
None. Pull pick hour, ship hour, and orders from the same Fullstack fulfill cut.
