Unreleased CoA lots are not cover
Nutra lots can sit in the building and still be unreleased until CoA / QA clears. Ads that pace on that pile stock out while the lab finishes. Type days to CoA / release and sellable cover days on released units only.
Pair: CoA release vs cover on Stock. Expiry gate: lot expiry hold. Dock lag: receiving is not sellable.
What you type
Days to CoA / release — written clock until this lot may pick.
Sellable cover days — released on-hand ÷ units/day (not the unreleased pile).
If cover dies before release, cut spend or expedite release. Do not invent a CoA day chip.
What not to do
Do not count unreleased as on-hand. Do not invent CoA days. Do not skip the expiry gate after release. Do not mix FBA inbound into this nutra release clock.
Related: Stock, lot expiry hold, receiving is not sellable, days of cover.

FAQ
- Is this lot expiry hold?
- No. [Lot expiry](/manuals/lot-expiry-ship-hold) is days left vs a written ship gate. This page is whether QA / CoA has released the lot yet.
- Is this receiving?
- Related dock clock. [Receiving](/manuals/receiving-not-sellable) is ASN to sellable. This page is lab / CoA release after (or instead of) receive.
- Can I invent a 5-day CoA?
- No. Type the written release clock from the co-man / 3PL.
