Inbound at the 3PL is not ads cover
ShipMonk-class dashboards print inbound next to on-hand. Media still ships from sellable. Pacing into the ASN is how you stock out while the truck sits in receiving.
Pair: Receiving is not sellable on Stock. Named window: days of cover. Which warehouse: ads ship-from cover. Cut spend: ads into empty.
What you type
On-hand — sellable today at the ads ship-from.
Inbound units — ASN, in-transit to this 3PL, or sitting in receiving. Not cover.
Days until receive — written 3PL clock until those units become pickable. Zero only if they already are.
Units / day from that ship-from.
Sellable cover = on-hand ÷ units/day. If that is shorter than days until receive, you stock out before inbound helps. The inbound count does not enter the cover math.
What not to do
Do not add inbound to on-hand for ads. Do not invent a two-day receiving chip. Do not mix FBA inbound into this 3PL clock. Do not count a lot on hold as sellable — lot expiry.

Procedure
- Type sellable on-hand at the ads ship-from.
- Type inbound units and days until the 3PL marks them sellable.
- Type units/day. Cut spend if cover dies before receive.
Failure modes
- Adding inbound to on-hand for ads.
- Inventing a two-day receiving chip.
- Mixing FBA inbound into this 3PL clock.
Worked example
None on this page yet. When one lands it will be a real case: what broke, the number, and what changed. Not a composite.

- Can I count in-receiving as on-hand?
- No. Until the 3PL says sellable, ads cannot pick it.
