AVS fail is not AVS/CVV tradeoff
AVS fails ÷ auths make fail %. Type both.
Pair: AVS fail share on Orchestration. Cash trade: AVS/CVV tradeoff. Retry $: retry cost waterfall.
What you type
AVS fails — auth attempts that failed AVS in the window.
Auths — total auth attempts in that same window.
Fail % = AVS fails ÷ auths × 100. Soften or harden AVS rules when fail % is fat — do not invent a fail chip.
What not to do
Do not invent fail %. Do not mix CVV fails into AVS without splitting. Do not treat retry fees as AVS fails. Do not average every MID when one owns the hole.
