A rate-shop miss is not quote variance
Rate-shop misses on shipments make miss %. Fee $ = misses × fee $/miss. Type all three.
Pair: Rate-shop miss on Stock. Invoice: quoted vs billed. Voids: void label waste.
What you type
Misses — shipments that skipped / missed the rate shop in the window.
Shipments — total shipments in that same window.
Fee $/miss — typed extra label / service fee per miss.
Miss % = misses ÷ shipments × 100. Fee $ = misses × fee $/miss. Enforce rate shop when miss % is fat — do not invent a miss chip.
What not to do
Do not invent miss %. Do not mix quote-vs-billed variance into misses. Do not treat voids as rate-shop misses. Do not average every warehouse when one owns the hole.
