Seamless ACH soft share is not a vault soft share
On one Seamless ACH / card decline file, divide soft codes by all codes. That quotient is SC soft-decline %. Enter both counts.
Pair: Soft-decline share on Payments. Vault twin: Spreedly soft. Workflow twin: Primer soft. ACH twin: same-day ACH fail.
Inputs
Soft declines — Issuer soft / retryable codes on Seamless ACH or card in the window.
All declines — Soft + hard decline codes in that same Seamless export.
SC soft-decline % = soft ÷ all × 100. When SC soft-decline % runs tall, widen soft retry and cut hard burns — leave blank chips alone.
Hard stops
Leave SC soft-decline % blank rather than invent. Keep settle-die rejects out of soft codes. Keep Spreedly or Primer decline rows out of Seamless boxes. Keep one Seamless seat per run when that MID owns the mix.
Related: Payments, Spreedly soft, Primer soft, same-day ACH fail.
Procedure
- Type soft declines and all declines.
- Read SC soft-decline %.
- Seat retry / updater when SC soft-decline % is material.
Failure modes
- Inventing SC soft-decline %.
- Loading Spreedly or Primer decline rows into Seamless inputs.
- Folding settle-reject counts into soft.
Worked example
None on this page yet. When one lands it will be a real case: what broke, the number, and what changed. Not a composite.

FAQ
- Is this Spreedly soft-decline share?
- ACH / card book vs Spreedly vault. [Soft-decline share](/manuals/spreedly-soft-decline-share) stays on Spreedly. Soft / all counts never leave Seamless here.
- Is this Primer soft-decline share?
- Separate workflow stack. [Soft-decline share](/manuals/primer-soft-decline-share) stays on Primer. Seamless owns every count here.
- What SC soft-decline % should I invent?
- None. Source soft declines and all declines from the same Seamless decline file.
