SeamlessChex held-batch share is not hold days

How to run thisPayments3 steps
CalculatorSeamlessChex settlement-hold share · Calculator lives in the articleOpen

Divide held settlements by settlements in one ACH cut. That ratio is hold %.

Pair: Settlement-hold share on Payments. Days twin: settlement-hold days. Void twin: void-fail share.

What you type

Held settlements — SeamlessChex settlement batches still parked on hold in the cut.

Settlements — Settlement batches in that same SeamlessChex ACH cut.

Hold % = held settlements ÷ settlements × 100. Fat hold % usually means risk / reserve rules are biting — chase that release path; never invent a hold chip.

What not to do

Skip inventing hold %. Skip dumping hold-day indexes into share fields. Skip treating void fails as held batches. Skip blending MIDs when one seat owns the parked pile.

Related: Payments, settlement-hold days, void-fail share, same-day ACH fail.

Procedure

  1. Type held settlements and settlements.
  2. Read hold %.
  3. Chase release / risk rules when hold % is material.

Failure modes

  • Inventing hold %.
  • Dumping hold-day indexes into share fields.
  • Treating void fails as held batches.

Worked example

None on this page yet. When one lands it will be a real case: what broke, the number, and what changed. Not a composite.
