Stack RDR, alert, and bank clocks without double pay
RDR, alerts (Ethoca / CDRN), and the bank chargeback can all touch one sale. They are not one clock. Paying the wrong door — or paying two — is how you double-credit and still miss the ratio door that matters.
Pair: RDR / alert / bank clock stack — claim map on Chargebacks. Hours left on an alert: alert response clocks. CS state table: refund window policy.
Which door owns the hour
RDR. Mastercard pre-dispute rule fired (or should). Refund path is the rule — do not also blast a second CS credit by habit.
Alert. Ethoca/CDRN hours to refund/cancel before primary. Staff the written hours.
Bank CB. Days. Representment or write-off. Alert miss does not erase this clock.
What not to do
Do not refund after RDR already paid. Do not staff alerts on a business-day vibe. Do not treat RDR enrollment as Ethoca coverage. Do not invent network hour chips — type your contracts.

Procedure
- Name which enrollment fired.
- Check whether a credit already posted (RDR / alert).
- Staff written alert hours; track bank deadline apart.
- Use the hours calculator only after the door is named.
Failure modes
- Treating RDR and Ethoca as one queue.
- Second credit after RDR already paid.
- Ignoring the bank clock after a missed alert.
- Inventing public hour chips.

None on this page yet. When one lands it will be a real case: what broke, the number, and what changed. Not a composite.

FAQ
- If RDR already refunded, should I also hit the Ethoca window?
- Usually no second credit. Confirm the RDR outcome posted. Watch the bank door if a CB still arrives — [refund then CB](/manuals/refund-then-cb).
- Is the alert clock the same as RDR?
- No. RDR is a Mastercard pre-dispute rule path. Ethoca/CDRN are alert networks. Different enrollments, different hours.
- Is this the alert hours calculator?
- No. [Alert response clocks](/manuals/alert-response-clocks) types hours left. This page is which door owns the case.
