NMI capture decline is not Braintree settle-capture miss
Count capture declines by capture attempts on one NMI transaction report. That ratio is capture-decline %.
Pair: Capture-fail share on Payments. Braintree twin: settle-capture miss. AVS twin: AVS-fail.
What you type
Capture fails — NMI capture attempts that declined / timed out in the report.
Capture attempts — Capture attempts in that same NMI transaction / settle report.
Capture-decline % = capture fails ÷ capture attempts × 100. Fat capture-decline % usually means gateway timeout or processor decline on capture — chase that path; never invent a capture-decline chip.
What not to do
Skip inventing capture-decline %. Skip dumping a Braintree or Authorize.net capture file into NMI fields. Skip folding AVS fails into capture declines. Skip blending MIDs when one seat owns the miss pile.
