Braintree partial settle is not Auth.net partial capture
Partial-settled $ ÷ captured $ make gap %. Type both.
Pair: Partial-settle gap on Payments. Auth.net: partial capture gap. Void: void-fail share.
What you type
Partial-settled $ — Dollars Braintree settled as partial (less than full capture) in the window.
Captured $ — Captured dollars in that same Braintree window.
Gap % = partial-settled $ ÷ captured $ × 100. Fix multi-capture / settle rules when gap % is fat. Do not invent a gap chip.
What not to do
Do not invent gap %. Do not paste Auth.net partial-capture exports into Braintree counts. Do not treat void fails as partial settle. Do not blend MIDs when one owns the hole.
