Argyle pay-rail hard kills are not Seamless hard kills

How to run thisPayments3 steps
CalculatorArgyle hard-decline share · Calculator lives in the articleOpen

Grab one Argyle pay-rail decline export. Tally terminal ACH/card kills. Divide by every decline line in that export. Multiply by 100 for AG hard-decline %.

Tool: Hard-decline share under Payments. Neighbor on Seamless: Seamless hard. Soft counterpart: Argyle soft.

Export columns

Terminal ACH/card kills — Argyle lines flagged do-not-retry / hard on that pay-rail export.

Every decline line — Soft and terminal Argyle declines inside the same export window.

AG hard-decline % = terminal ACH/card kills ÷ every decline line × 100. When AG hard-decline % runs hot, that pay-rail is eating volume that will not recycle — shift MID mix or fix the offer; blank chips stay blank.

Stops

Never invent AG hard-decline %. Never park soft-only codes inside the terminal tally. Never drop a SeamlessChex or Spreedly decline CSV into Argyle columns. Never fuse exports when a single Argyle MID owns the kill mix.

Related: Payments, Seamless hard, Argyle soft, settlement reject.

Procedure

  1. Type hard declines and all declines.
  2. Read AG hard-decline %.
  3. Cut hard burns when AG hard-decline % is material.

Failure modes

  • Inventing AG hard-decline %.
  • Loading soft-only counts into the hard pile.
  • Folding Seamless decline rows into Argyle boxes.

Worked example

None on this page yet. When one lands it will be a real case: what broke, the number, and what changed. Not a composite.
